Tummy Surgery

Excess skin around the tummy area, that does not improve with exercise, is a common problem. This can be treated with a tummy tuck. Although different techniques may be used, they essentially involve removal of excess skin and fat and tightening of the abdominal muscles. A 'mini' tummy tuck may be appropriate for some or a full abdominoplasty may be required. Many people choose to combine tummy tuck surgery with other procedures, our Chief Surgeon may suggest combining a tummy tuck with Lipo Sculpture to the same area, you may also like to explore having it in another area to give the body an overall slimmer effect.

Women may have excess skin around the tummy after pregnancy or after weight loss. Men are similarly affected by weight loss. Stretch marks can also be removed during surgery.

 

A standard tummy tuck results in a scar in the knicker line and another around the belly button. The hospital stay is usually a two night stay in the comfortable surroundings of your chosen private hospital in London Windsor or Slough. Full recovery takes around four weeks, we advise patients to avoid strenuous exercise for at least six weeks.
